I wonder if being a homeowner in the UK provides as much tax benefit as it generally does in the US.

Hi
I was reading about your tales of property and gazumping and wondered whether in fact you were gazumped. Reason I ask is that I'm a journalist working for The Economist writing a piece on the property market. I'd love to speak with a foreigner who has views on this strange market. If you'd like to speak please contact me at the magazine on 020 7830 7000. My name is Jonathan Rosenthal

To answer the first comment - спасибо !

To answer the second comment, no, there is no tax benefit to homeowning here, nor having a mortgage.

I will contact the third commenter.

Many thanks for your comments, and if you have a copy of the first part of the blog, let me know!
